Each piece is hand crafted in sterling silver and then antiqued. Wax seals are impressions of another time, each a miniature work of art in its own right with its own intrinsic meaning and symbolism. Plum & Posey loves to make jewelry using these fascinating designs and giving them a new lease on life, celebrating the amazing artists of the Georgian and Victorian eras, whose fine craftsmanship help make their work possible.

Seals can be traced back to our earliest civilizations with signets being worn in ancient Egypt. Plum & Posey's seal collection ranges as far back as medieval times. While most of their seals come from Britain and France, they also have some that hail from Bulgaria, Hungary, Russia, Germany, Italy and many other places.
